Seduced by the beauty of the site and encouraged by our belief of its great potential for vine growing, we started to plant vineyards in this area in the east of our country in 2010. Very close to the sea, in front of the “Cerro Pan de Azúcar”, the vineyard benefits of a great maritime influence. The vineyard is located in a place where each summer afternoon receives the “virazon” phenomenon, when the wind from the sea rotates in to the land.
The bedrock that formed the soil over which the vineyard is planted is a rock related to granite, Syenite, characteristic of “Sierra de las Ánimas”. The “Cerro Gigante” next to the vineyard is 522 million years old. The Syenite is a rare rock, making it a peculiarity of this terroir. The varieties in this vineyard are Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Tannat making 7,5 ha. approximately.
